Michael Julian Lippa

Michael Julian Lippa is a Senior Litigation Counsel at the Toronto office, having joined Aviva Trial Lawyers in November 2025. Prior to joining ATL, Michael spent nearly seven years as counsel for the in-house department of another large insurer. Michael also has previous experience working as a Plaintiff lawyer and handling a variety of matters while working for a boutique full-service law firm, including criminal law, construction liens, family law, real estate, corporate and estate matters.

Michael has appeared before various levels of court and tribunals in Ontario, including the Superior Court of Justice, Small Claims Court, FSCO, LAT, and the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board.

Michael was called to the Ontario Bar in January 2017. He graduated from Windsor Law School in 2015, after having received his undergraduate degree from York University in the area of Criminology. 

Michael is an avid soccer player and fan, having spent years playing competitively and receiving a full athletic scholarship to play in the U.S.
